We are now at the end of our unit on dinosaurs and the solar system, it has been fun and educational and we have learnt lots. Over the past week we have really looked at star patterns (constellations) especially Draco and Orion, lots of friends have said they did see Orion in the sky and had to stay up super late to do this....thank you parents! We are now moving in to the month of February and a new theme of "Community Workers and Caring for our Community" will begin, this is a time to look at how much we do to help each other, how we can work as a team and also learn about the jobs that people do to keep us safe, well and protected.
Tate presented the "Me Box" last week and did a great job, it was full of five interesting items and his presentation was wonderful! The box will be presented to a new friend who will present on Friday.
Globe Ceremonies - please remember to take home your child's birthday poster board after one week, the pictures are very special and need to go back home after the Armadillo's have had the opportunity to look over these wonderful memories.
Remember to check the Armadillo Parent Notice Board, we have put the food sign up sheet for the Armadillo Valentine Party and also asked that $3:00 be given to Ms. Nancy as soon as possible so we can eat yummy pizza as part of our celebration. Also, parents who would like to "Listen to Readers" have the opportunity to sign up for this.
Kindergarten children will begin taking homework home this week, this will need to be returned at the end of that week (Friday).
To all our families that celebrate Chinese New Year, we hope you are enjoying this 15 day celebration, we hope that The Year of the Dragon proves to be a healthy and prosperous one for all of you.

Please remember to check your child’s cubby! The weather has now turned cold and they need to have an appropriate change of clothing. Please label all clothing as some friends have lost items recently and it has been difficult to track them down.
