Art Enrichment with Ms. Lindsey

Last week we got everyone all caught up in art class! This week we are going to learn about Jim Davis. Davis is an American cartoonist famous for his amusing comic strip characters Garfield, Odie, and John, characters in the strip “Garfield”. For art class this week, we are going to make our own comic strips! We are going to make them super silly and maybe even add some sound bubbles/captions (something we worked on earlier in the year when learning about pop art). I’m excited to see the funny comics our SITH artists come up with!
Next week will be the last art class for the school year. Spanish Enrichment with Ms. Gigi

Hola a todos,
This week we will be learning a little bit more of Clothing Items in Spanish. Children will be playing the dress up game. Class will be divided in two groups and a timer will be running while they try to get dressed. It is a happy way to learn vocabulary and the children have fun!
I will review colors and shapes with videos and we will sing songs!

This week in music… our last music class of the school year... We are going to continue watching The Little Mermaid.
I’ve enjoyed watching every one of your children learn and love music! It’s been a blast!

Yoga Enrichment with Ms. Kyla

This week in yoga the children will play a game where they are invited to create yoga poses. The children will be given a letter and will then choose an animal whose name begins with that letter. The children will then create a yoga pose based on that letter.
Character Education with Ms. Heidi

This is the last week of Character Education and we are celebrating by having a Jelly Bean Jamboree! Friendly Francine, Angry Arlene, Emotional Eugene and many other jelly bean friends will join us for a time of music, art and of course, yummy jelly beans. I have enjoyed teaching your children the importance of friendship skills, strength of character and responsibility of community. It has been an amazing year! Have a wonderful summer friends!
