Pandas

The Pandas have been so excited to start logging our pages read for the Book Spring Read-a-Thon! We have been adding pages to a chart kept in the classroom, and then counting rows of ten to see our progress each day. We hope to raise some money to purchase books for underprivileged children. Thank you so much for your generous support!
We are finishing up our study of the polar regions. The children have really enjoyed learning all about the Arctic and Antarctic. Next month we will be moving on to the next biome we will be studying, the desert. We will also be adding many exciting Valentine’s Day themed lessons to the Practical Life, Art, Math and Language shelves.
We will be working on another community service project in the classroom over the next few weeks. The children will be creating Valentines to be sent to children at Dell Children’s Hospital. The children are so excited to be able to create something beautiful that another child can enjoy.
Thank you to Ramon, Kalli’s dad, for coming to read to the class last week! The children always love having someone new visit the classroom. Thank you also to Shaheen, Aashir’s mom, for coming in to listen to our many amazing readers!
