AngelHeart Kids Thanksgiving Food Drive – November 2013

Treats for Troops – November 2013

Treats for Troops is a wonderful organization that teaches children the concept of giving. Parents encouraged children to donate some of their Halloween candy to be sent over to our military serving overseas. School and the Hills families, as well as the Steiner Ranch community, could not have been more generous with their Halloween candy! We ended up with much more candy than we ever expected. The children also wrote some very sweet cards for the troops that will be sent with the candy.

Dell Children’s Hospital – Pumpkin Patch – October 23rd, 2013

School in the Hills hosted a pumpkin patch during the week of October 23rd, to raise funds for the Dell Children’s hospital. The students helped advertise the pumpkins and inform parents of the cause. Our generous families were eager to show their support by purchasing the pumpkins.

Cookies for Kid’s Cancer – September 26th & 27th – 2013

School in the Hills partnered up with Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, to sell some delicious cookies in order to raise support for the organization. One hundred percent of donations to Cookies for Kids’ Cancer are given to support the research of pediatric cancer. The Primary and Leadership students took turns manning the cookie booth and encouraging parents to purchase the cookies, baked by our own school chef! These cookies warmed many tummies and hearts, as we were able to raise almost $1,500 for Cookies for Kids’ Cancer!

Share the Love! – February 2013

We would like to extend a big thank you to our families who donated to the American Heart Association. With the beautiful cards you gave to your children and teachers, we were able to donate $211! These donations will go to train Americans on CPR and first aid, as well as the education of healthcare providers on heart disease and prevention. Heart disease is the cause of approximately 30% of deaths in Austin each year.

Thank you for partnering with us in this area of service to our Austin community.
