Tiffany James, MA.Ed – Lead Teacher/Toddler Coordinator
Ms. Tiffany’s strengths as a teacher are her love for the children, patience, sense of humor, and knowledge. She enjoys working with children of all ages, but discovering Montessori ignited her passion for teaching young children. She believes Montessori education is the best method for teaching children. It fosters independence in young children that will continue throughout their whole lives and nurtures the whole being not just reading, writing, and math.
Ms. Tiffany received her Master of Art in Education degree from St. Catherine University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Studies from Tarleton State University. She received her Montessori Infant-Toddler training from the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies in Colorado in 2011. She has 15 years of experience working with children, from newborns to 6th grade. She also has experience teaching Special Education.
Ms. Kimberly is a loving and patient teacher, who believes in guiding children through a task rather than doing the task for them. She has experience working with young children in a Montessori setting.
For Ms. Kimberly, seeing the look on a child’s face when she does a lesson all on her own and how proud she feels of her accomplishments makes her happy! She is also great at identifying the specific needs of the children in her care and is able to provide the appropriate opportunities to satisfy those needs. She really likes the Montessori philosophy because it provides opportunities for hands-on learning. She appreciates that the method incorporates the child’s choice and interests. Montessori is child-centered, and everything in the classroom is meticulously prepared for the children.
Ms. Kimberly was born and raised in Austin, TX.

She believes working with children is the most rewarding job one can do and loves nothing more than watching her students blossom over the course of the school year! She loves everything that Montessori stands for and believes that facilitating growth, independence, and wonder in children is her true calling.
Ms. Brittany is from Orange, Texas and has lived in Austin since 2015.
Ms. Christy had always been interested in working with children due to the joy and rewards that children bring to her life. Before working at School in the Hills, she had only heard about Montessori but had never personally experienced it. She has had the privilege of working in many of different structures of education and can now say that Montessori education is the best way of teaching children. She is currently working on her Infant-Toddler Montessori certification from the Houston Montessori Center.
Ms. Christy moved to the Austin area in the summer of 2000. She is a wife and a mother of two wonderful children.
